“Claim My Shit” is one of the most aggressive tracks from Now Or Neva, and the video, shot by Gregory Buissreth, who also shot “We Want Our Money,” is fittingly grimy, mixing performance clips of the guys in different hoods around the city with pictures of notorious Chicago gangsters. “Artists from other cities try to claim culture that’s not theirs,” explain L.E.P. on the inspiration behind the song and video. “This is just a message: it’s not so easy to claim our culture. Either you’re really part of it, or you’re not; it’s not a fashion statement.“
