What’s ironic is how Kirko Bangz’s “Drank In My Cup” is still as dope as it was when I heard it for the first time last August. It’s been one of those records which have grown in popularity slowly but surely in front of my very own eyes and one that’s become a party staple at damn near any event these days. And whenever a song receives a certain amount of recognition, a rapper’s peers begin to take notice and add their own twists.

Enter Bow Wow.

J. Cole and 2 Chainz made news the other day with their own takes of the intoxicated sex anthem. Shad let loose of his as well. Maybe because the beat and melody are so cold, it’s hard to strike out. Bow waxes poetics about some woman always willing to get it poppin’ at the drop of a dime from the house to the studio to everywhere in between. And she doesn’t even need the title of “girlfriend” or wife. She’s just down for the moment.
