To be honest, I’m not even sure if “Super Bass” was intended to be a single at first. That being said, whoever made the decision for it to be one looks like a genius right now. According to this very tweet, Nicki Minaj became the first female hip hop artist to surpass the 3 million mark in digital sales. That’s outright amazing considering the fact I remember Nicki from the days when she was first getting started.
