For those who know anything about civil rights activist, author and social commentator, Cornell West, you know he’s never been the type to beat around the bush. His latest act of protest saw him on the steps of the Supreme Court speaking out against corporate influence in politics which saw him soon get arrested along with 18 others.

Before joining the protesters, Mr. West attended the Martin Luther King Memorial dedication. And want some irony? The MLK ceremony came on the 16 year anniversary of the Million Man March while the protest marked 10 years since the start of the war in Afghanistan.
