Lloyd Banks – “Shock The World”

As G-Unit’s last standing member of mainstream musical relevance – 50 says he has a new album coming and Yayo will forever suffer from the label placed on him as the weak link when the group first exploded on the scene – Lloyd Banks has to realize the position he is in. The numbers may have not reflected so, but Hunger For More 2 was still one of the better albums of 2010. Still, only the present day matters in Hip Hop and Blue Hefner appears to be putting the final touches on his on-off-on again mixtape, Cold Corner 2.

“Shock The World” is the Banks he’s always presents himself as. Cold beats, rapid fire, smooth, but still gritty New York bred flow encompass what this record is about. Will it do like the title says and leave the world’s jaws open? Nope, but that doesn’t mean Banks doesn’t get busy. The dude can rap, flat out.
