Last week after the VMA‘s, Lil Wayne digitally released his highly anticipated “Carter IV” album and within the first four days of it being online, it managed to sale over 300,000 records via iTunes. This breaks an iTunes single week record as well as surpasses Jay-Z and Kanye‘s “Watch The Throne” album which moved around 290,000.

The official first week sales ended tonight at midnight, but the official numbers for the album will not be provided until Wednesday. The album is on pace to sell between 800-850 thousand, which is both the digital and physical copies both added together. Be sure to check back for the official first week numbers.
