Two men were taken into custody today in connection to the murder of beloved friend and father, Corey “Megatron” McGriff, 32, who was shot and killed Sunday, March 27, at around 2 a.m. according to news reports.

The men, Richard Cromwell, 20, and William Williams, 21 were charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, stolen property, and robbery.

Megatron, who worked on and off-air for BET, was also a former on-air jock for NY’s Hot 97. He was laid to rest yesterday at his funeral in Staten Island.
