This was WACK! The funny thing is that since Niki is a new artist, her whole career is being defined by this beef with Lil Kim. All of this had never been done before Kim did it. So if you really think about it, Kim has already won. She has made Niki define herself in a context created by Lil Kim. Kim stans are not being honest with themselves. Was tarnishing her legacy REALLY worth making that paypal profit off the back of Nicki’s success that she CLAIMS was because of her? Niki fans, do me a favor. Do a google search on Niki Minaj and read the articles and posts about her. At least 95% of them mention Lil Kim. Now do a google search for Lil Kim. You have pages and pages of content all about her, and maybe 10 to 20% says something about Niki. That’s all I’m saying. And FYI, I like Niki Minaj. I think she’s a very talented entertainer. She’s a pretty good rapper, but her talent goes beyond hip hop. I just think that Lil Kim is so phenomenal and so amazing at what she does. She’s an innovator, a trailblazer, and her legacy is solidified no matter what. If she drops off the face of the earth right this minute, and is never heard from again, people would still acknowledge everything she’s done and recognize her as the Queen of hip hop. All of her songs would still play on the radio like she just released them. People would still talk about her in magazines, on tv, in blogs, etc. Need I remind you that this woman is so loved and well respected and so talented that Syracuse University started teaching a course about Lil Kim and her lyrics. A well respected university… I mean come on. You can’t deny how impressive that is. All I’m saying is, you can give Kim her prop’s and be a Niki fan too. There is no need for all this “taking sides” nonsense.
