Jim Jones Talks Prodigy Feature On ‘Capo’
by Karen
One thing to be said about Prodigy since his release from prison earlier this month is that he’s hit the ground with a Usain Bolt-like sprint. P sounds refreshed and as dedicated as he’s sounded in a long time in the booth, which bodes well for future releases. Even long time friend/producer Alchemist reflects those same sentiments.
Jim Jones also sees the same that of revitilzation in the Mobb Deep legend. Jones managed to snag get the recently freed rapper to appear on his April 5 album Capo. And according to the man himself, the man who gave the world the H.N.I.C. has not missed a step. In fact, he may have gained one.
I got Prodigy on my new Capo album. Me and P have already been in the studio. He came in the studio and didn’t leave until 7:30 AM yesterday morning. He was doing his thing. He looks good. Prodigy looks like he got his weight up, he’s in shape and it looks like he’s got his mind right. He looks like he’s been reading his books in there, the raps are on point, the flow is good, shouts to P. RSV-P and all that. Prodigy, P, you heard me?
Hearing Prodigy is sounding so rejuvenated from all these different sources is a good thing. Let’s just hope it stays that way.
