The basic truth behind G-Dep is that he will forever be known for his now infamous murder confession/charge more than his music (and Child Of The Ghetto was dope). It was one of those odd headlines you really didn’t believe until you read the story. And even by the end of it, you were left scratching your head wondering if it really happened. Everyone has an opinion on whether or not he should have confessed or not, including myself, but the thought of there always being more to the situation loomed large.

There was. Ms. Drama sat down with Crystal Sutton (Mrs. G-Dep) for what resulted in a revealing interview. Not to much of a surprise, drugs played a big role in his downfall. His grandmother’s death only intensified the usage, which eventually lead to he and wife getting a separation. She deserves some credit for trying to help him through the time, but the unavoidable hurdle in his life were, as she coined it, “enablers.” Pretty much known as the people who gave Dep whatever he wanted, a.k.a. “yes men.” Those some people are now “nowhere to be found.”

It’s a crazy interview and one worth watching if you’ve got 11 minutes to spare. The part about his kids noticing how high he was getting and they’re begging him to stop was pretty emotional.  You just feel bad for everyone close to him who are forced to endure this situation and  the family of the deceased victim.
