For as many people who bashed the concept last summer, the Miami Heat (and even before them the Boston Celtics) forming their own “big three” may be the new wave of the future in the NBA. The music industry, specifically Hip-Hop, is no different. While we all wait patiently for the release of another Outkast album, several artists are said to be teaming up to release collaborative albums. Jay-Z and Kanye’s Watch The Throne is said to arrive in March and Drake mentioned last year he and Lil Wayne would put out a project together.

Add Fabolous and Ne-Yo to the list. Their LP has long been rumored to come to life, but Fab all but confirmed it recently to XXL.

“I think this year too I might be doing this project with Ne-Yo finally,” he told XXL. “We’ve been in talks for a minute. It’s really sounding like it’s gonna get done. Ne-Yo is really hyped about it. I just fell back on it, but now I see the wheels are turning a little bit. I think we need that for the game. Some of the allure from the game is gone. You see people doing less numbers, so now let’s do some vanity projects where people are collaborating together.”

Also look for Loso to drop a new mixtape next month with an emphasis on soul-heavy production.
