He’s the artist everyone either loves to love or hate at the moment.  I think I’ve listened to maybe five or six Lil B songs in total since first seeing Noz speak of him last year. They aren’t exactly my cup of Hennessy, but whatever. He’s obviously doing something right and I’m almost willing to bet your favorite underground rapper could mimic the following he has right now. And I say “following” with every true intention of the word. It’s like a cult and at times can be almost overwhelming to witness.

That being said, Rya Backer of MTV was fortunate – I assume that’s the right word to use in this situation – to go on a “date” with Lil B. From their sit down, I learned that I have something in common with Based God, which is our inability to use chopsticks. The entire sit down is rather entertaining and well worth the two and a half minutes of your life you’ll use after clicking play.
