The show so many have been waiting to return – The Game – finally makes its return to television tomorrow on BET at 10 p.m. EST. Before that, the cast of the show allowed selected members of the media to gain a sneak preview of the first episode at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City.

After being cancelled, the show’s popularity surged to new heights as reruns were shown and eventually the buzz caught the attention of executives at BET to bring the program back altogether after a two year hiatus. What’s different now is that the show is taped in Atlanta. The first episode should not disappoint any diehard fans of the show. Drama is at a high level and special guests included 106 & Park’s Terrance J, Meagan Good and Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Sheree. Judging from the first episode at least, it looks to be scripted much better than the previous seasons. Some of the issues the cast will deal with throughout the season include life after divorce, new love interests and new issues from paternity tests.

After the viewing, I had  a chance to speak with Pooch Hall (“Derwin Davis“) who opened up about the difference of the show since leaving the CW and how moving to a later time slot will not affect the interest and buzz surrounding The Game. Be sure to check out the pictures from the event as well.

All of the great performances, it’s not like we didn’t do our thing before, but I need everyone to know that we’re back, the writers included. Were we take these characters are amazing and its good to see the growth in all the actors. Its like speechless on some of the things I seen. They’re gonna be networks like damn why did we pass on that show. Whether the show is on at 10, 9pm or 7:30 if it’s hot it’s hot, we’re bringing the ruckus. The show is official enough that people will tune in. BET has been doing it justice by showing the repeats and everything, so I’m not worried at all

Again, the premiere airs tonight on BET at 10 p.m. EST.
