People need to read more. It’s something I vowed to do more of at the beginning of the year and hopefully my self-discipline is strong enough to take me to December with the same mindset. That being said, this is one book I have grown more and more interested in reading over time. The evolution of Clipse these past few months have been one of the more intersting sub-plots in Hip-Hop (for me, at least). Pusha’s solo career is moving along fine, yet Malice appears to be on to something special with his novel, Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind And Naked.

He has always come across as a well-spoken person, so I would expect his words to resonate in the same manner as the pages turn. For me to give an accurate description of what the book is about would be close to impossible. The best I could gather from his video posts is that it will center around a significant change in his life and one many will be able to connect with upon reading. It’s probably better to let him tell it in his own words:

I don’t really know what to say about the book with the exception that the phenomenal chain of events occured just as I say they have. I was trying to be a rapper, not an author. Never would I have ever imagined that I would have to share a story so personal and of such magnitude with the entire world. Wretched…tells of my highest highs and my lowest lows. It speaks of my childhood, family life, and life in the industry. Most importantly this book tells how my life was saved by the Lord Jesus Christ. Truly, last night what I seen made my life change.

There it is. Judge for yourself where you want to take it from here. For those who are interested in finding out what exactly Malice is speaking of, click here to pre-order the book. And once you’re done, hit him on Twitter with your own personal review in 140 characters or less.

After the jump, Malice’s most recent vignette which he released earlier today.
