It’s the end of the year which means “best of…” lists will start to pop up everywhere over the Internet. MTV recently let loose of their compilation of 2010’s greatest mixtapes. Obviously, there will never be one “right” list, and the true purpose is to get people talking whether it be positively or negatively. Personally, I believed Yelawolf’s Trunk Muzik deserved the nod, but hey, that’s a personal opinion.

One of the entries which did receive the thumbs up from MTV was Big K.R.I.T.’s groundbreaking tape K.R.I.T. Wuz Here. As a matter of fact, for any site who decides to recognize the year’s best mixtapes, this better be on the list or someone has some explaining to do. This is a top 10 project, mixtape or album. Anyway, in the above clip, the Mississippi speaks on the inspiration behind one his more applauded records, “Hometown Hero.”
