It looks like Soulja Boy is about to get another check. He recently just launched his ‘SouljaWorld’ application for the iPhone. The new program will allow fans to connect and build with  fans via Soulja Boy related content. Think FourSquare meets Soulja Boy. Per the press release:

Soulja Boy officially launched ‘SouljaWorld,’ a location-based social media application that will allow users to log on and ‘check-in’ from various locations and connect with people using Soulja Boy related  digital content. The application not only uses check in  type social network methods made popular from applications such as Foursquare and Gowalla, but with ‘SouljaWorld’ you will also receive exclusive updates on new Soulja Boy music, video content and upcoming tour dates.  In addition, ‘SouljaWorld’ users are offered Soulja Boy inspired badges that are referred to as ‘tattoos’ and include names like ‘Pretty Boy Swag’, ‘Pretty Girl Swag’ and ‘Stacks On Deck.’

I’m not too sure how this is going to turn out. A few of hip-hop’s other players have tried to jump into the social media world and it didn’t turn out to well. Remember Dame Dash‘s Blocksavvy? How about Ludacris‘ WeMix.com? Exactly.
