It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these. Hopefully, I can keep this going on a more consistent basis, but enough of the sob story. Let’s get right down to it.

3. Bruno Mars – Doo-Wops & Hooligan – 54,800 (54,846) – It’s great that he debuts at #3, but depressing that dude had the #1 song in the country and can’t push 100K. In the words of my homie Hit Boy, “we’re all doomed.” The good thing about the album is that it’s packed with singles. My personal favorite? “The Lazy Song.”

4. Eminem – Recovery 52,464 (2,768,107) – Not really much to say about this album which hasn’t already been said. The year’s highest selling album and the only one who really has a chance to top him is Kanye. Credit to whomever made the decision to wait until Wayne was just about through with his sentence to drop the video for “No Love.” It’ll pick up even more steam once he gets out.

6. Waka Flocka – Flockaveli – 37,000 (37,200) – The industry’s most hated rapper at the moment – at least, that’s what it feels like – did the numbers I expected. At 17 tracks, I believe he was better suited to cut it down to somewhere around 12-14, but with three bonafide singles (“O Let’s Do It,” “Hard In The Paint” and “No Hands”), buddy just earned himself a second album.

9. Trey Songz – Passion, Pain & Pleasure – 31,730 (379,718) – He’s well on his way to gold – an epic win in today’s climate. I’m not sure what the next single is going to be, but if he’s taking the up-tempo (“Bottoms Up”)/ballad (“Can’t Be Friends”) route, it’s about time for another up-tempo record. “Alone” seems like a good choice.

12. Justin Bieber – My World 2.0 – 24,211 (1,865,696) – You can’t stop Justin Bieber. You can only hope to contain him. Plus, he’s a rapper too.

16. Lil Wayne – I Am Not A Human Being – 23,099 (133,350) – Not bad for a guy who’s locked in a little room 23 hours a day with nothing but a bed, toilet, sink and small window.

18. Gucci Mane – The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted – 20,054 (80,299) – Let’s face it, and this is no disrespect to the man because I like his music for the most part: these are the type of numbers Gucci is going to do for his career. I just wish he’d stop with the crossover attempts and just stick to what he’s good at. “Party Animal” needs to be a single at some point though.

25. Pimp C – The Naked Soul Of Sweet Jones – 17,809 (17,855) – If it was up to me, this would be platinum now.
