J. Cole is relatable. Not sure if it’s the way he carries himself, or the hunger you can feel through his music. It might be a combination of both. Whatever it is, when I met him earlier this year, his humility radiated beyond my expectations. I think that’s what sets him apart from the rest of his class. He’s the everyday guy that you see grinding hard, supporting his own dreams, and bringing his entire hood along with him.

Jermaine talked with SoulCulture before his recent performance at the London Wireless Festival, and shared his thoughts on making the struggle look beautiful, as well as what he hopes his fans will feel when they hear the work on his yet to be titled album on October 26th, via  RocNation and Columbia.
