We all saw the tweet. We all got excited. Kanye West took to twitter to give 2 Chainz props but his wording left us all rather confused.

Assumptions started swirling about whether or not G.O.O.D. Music had a new signee. But, 2 Chainz recently stepped out to clear up the rumors.

“He just said I’m good, like I’m ill. But we was talking and I think I was jeopardizing my brand sometimes by doing the homeboy special. So I think he felt like we should just put that out there that we ain’t doing no more of that — I would have done almost anything a couple months ago, and it was all about really reaching out because I still will, I’m still grounded, but it made sense for me to slow down a little bit being that I got an album coming out August 14th. I’m still working on that — I’m just trying to focus on 2 Chainz a little more.”

Am I the only one who is slightly saddened by this? Well, either way, I think we all can continue to expect 2 Chainz-Kanye collabos in the future. But with “No Lie” featuring Drake killing the airways and “Based on a T.R.U. Story” hitting shelves on August 14th, the summer could possibly belong to 2 Chainz.
